FAQ's
Q: Where can I buy your cool shit?
A: I'm glad you asked. You can find us every Saturday at Tower Grove Farmer's Market. This market operates year round, follow us on social media to keep up to date with days/times and offerings.
Q: I live in the city and have chickens, one turned out to be a rooster. Can I bring it to your farm?
A: No. Our farm would be covered in roosters. And we can only eat so many. I suggest getting him a manager and getting him some gigs a la "Rock-a-doodle"
Q: Can I buy a whole hog from you guys?
A: Yes! E-mail us at suchandsuchfarm@gmail.com and we'll help you fill your freezer.
Q: Can we come visit your farm?
A: Probably! E-mail us and set up an appointment. We're not an "open farm" as we live here, have a family, are semi workaholics and whatnot so farm tours are available by appointment only. OR! Come to our farm dinners, events or camp with us via HipCamp.
Q: Do you give your pigs antibiotics?
A: Not in the way that CAFO operations do, our pigs don't need constant antibiotics because they're raised outside on pasture and get plenty of individual attention. However if they get sick, we do give them some medicine. What do you do when you get sick?
Q: Are you organic?
A: No, in our opinion the whole "certified organic" stamp is a bit of a racket. But we use bio-dynamic, sustainable practices and natural remedies when it comes to treating pests and diseases. We don't use synthetic chemicals unless there's imminent crop failure. Instead we pride ourselves on being a part of the Known and Grown farmer network. K&G is a network of local farmers that use sustainable practices, both with plants and animals. So when you see that a farm is with K&G, you can be sure you're getting a healthy and happy local product.
Q: Your farm sounds amazing, can I come camp and bask in your farm's beauty?
A: That's so flattering! And yes you can! Book with us through HipCamp for tent camping at our Swimming Hole.
